ALAMBRA FRESH MILK INAUGURATED ITS STATE-OF-THE-ART FACTORY

Alambra Fresh Milk inaugurated its state-of-the-art factory on Tuesday, September 5, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides.

The event was attended by more than 500 guests. Many personalities from the political and business world, as well as Alambra Fresh Milk partners had been present.

In his speech, the CEO of Alambra Fresh Milk, Mr. Giorgos Petrou, made a brief historical review of the company, making special mention of his mother, grandmother Kakoullou, who was, as he said, “our inspiration for our company”. Mr. Petrou also expressed his pride in the new fresh milk bottling unit, promising that “we will continue to grow, promoting the Cypriot tradition, opening new jobs, with respect, honesty and love for our consumers, our employees, the environment and all our partners”.

The President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, also addressed the event, who underlined the evolution of Petrou family, saying that “for more than 40 years, since 1982, tirelessly and always with love, it has produced its own pure dairy products “. Mr. Christodoulides also added that “Alambra Dairy carried out the first halloumi export in 1988 and for the last 15 years has held a leading position in PDO Halloumi production, with presence in 40 countries”.

The President of Parliament, Mrs. Annita Dimitriou, mainly referred to the contribution of the Petrou family to the economy of Cyprus, thanking them for their effort of “successfully promoting our history and culture abroad”. In addition, she emphasized the fact that the company operates more than 30% of the total exports of Authentic Cypriot Halloumi.

The company’s Commercial Manager, Mr. Michalis Petrou, said that “With our tradition as a beacon and dedicated to our goal of producing quality products, we are moving one step further”. Referring to the facilities, Mr. Michalis Petrou also underlined that “the Fresh Cypriot Milk ALAMBRA is produced in a state-of-the-art factory, with an investment of 10 million euros and European-standard equipment, which, while respecting the environment, guarantees its constant quality and freshness”.

The event ended with the inauguration of the new factory, while a reception followed for all the guests, with the music band Angelos Augusti, Maria Theodotou & Friends.
