The 2nd Pancyprian Reception for Sheep & Goat farmers “ALAMBRA”

The 2nd Pancyprian Reception for Sheep & Goat farmers “ALAMBRA” was Held on the 2^nd of November with great success.

With the slogan “The Granny supports stock raising” the company PETROU BROS DAIRY PRODUCTS LTD honored its partners in the farming industry, under the auspices of the Agriculture Minister Mr. Nikos Kougiali.

The main objective of the event was the show of appreciation and love for the fighters of the livestock industry – characteristically said by the General Manager of the company George Petrou – who continually support our company. This event was dedicated to all our partners as a token of gratitude for the trust and excellent cooperation between us.

Mr. Petrou emphasized in his speech that the Government and relevant ministries must now turn their attention to the practical support of sheep and goat breeding while they urgently need to announce substantial measures to support and promote the industry.

The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Nikos Kougialis, thanked in his speech, the dairy industry for their patronage of the event, and underlined the important and multifaceted contribution of our company in Cyprus farming, the industry and exports.

In addition the Minister said that the vesting process of Halloumi cheese as a PDO product is in the final stretch and all point in the direction that it will be soon enshrined as a Cyprus product.

Alongside this, PETROU BROS DAIRY PRODUCTS, establishing the institution of awarding its partners that have excelled during the year, awarded 4 of its Sheep & Goat farmers as a show of appreciation and thanks for their services.

Plaques were also awarded to the families of four of our associates who have passed on during the last year signifying their huge contribution to our company and the industry in general.

At the end of the event the guests had the opportunity to enjoy a musical program by two beautiful and talented girls from the show Music School, Marina Verzanli and Marianna Joseph.
